I recently had lunch at Joe Massaglia's Mama Mia's Restaurant in Cedar Square Plaza on Shore Road in Seaville. I usually have a couple slices of their wood fired, brick oven pizza because their brushetta pizza and BBQ beef pizza is exceptional.
On my recent visit, I ordered the special, which was crab cake with spaghetti topped by lobster sauce. The crab cake was nicely flavored with flecks of pepper and lots of lump crab. It was a perfect lunch serving and I could not finish the spaghetti.
I ordered dessert, because Joe Massaglia told me that his tirimasu is the best-he may be right. What a slab of rum-soaked cake, filling and whipped cream. Two people can easily fill up on it.
Mama Mia's is a great pizza place for lunch, but their regular menu and specials are good, too.
