Sears

My husband and I have enjoyed a few delicious meals at the INLET. However we had the worst dinning experience of our lives Sunday afternoon August 26th. We sat on the upper deck near the rail and there was something wrong with our waiter, He was leaning on customers chairs trying to take orders. We asked for ice tea and placed our lunch order. It took him 3times to get it right he kept repeating back different things. After about 15 minutes he came back said he lost his pad and we needed to reorder. We again asked to have our ice tea. The table next to us was seated three times and the people left due to his strange behavior Food on his face the comment from the young lady was she had never been so grossed out and repeating back things they didn't ask for. After 30 minutes our meal came still no tea. One was right and one wrong. It was a manager I belive that brought the meal as he had an ear piece. I told him something was wrong with the waiter and he just smiled at me. My husbands sandwich was soggy as it had obviously sat somewhere to long. My meal was corrected and was good however by the time I got it my husband had finished his. Still no tea. I overheard the third set of people next to us trying to get their drinks and the people behind them that had a different waiter saying there was something wrong with ours. Now our waiter was coming to us saying they had no soup which we never asked for by the time we asked for our bill he came with one ice tea and told my husband they didn't have the beer he asked for we had never asked for beer. Asked about two more times for our bill. When we finally got it it has several things on it we never ordered or got including the tea. We took our bill went to the hostess desk and asked for a manager. She did correct the bill while another manager (I guess) listened to our complaint. I again told both of them there was something wrong with our waiter and he was going to loose them customers. The reply by the young lady was he's just having a bad day. If this had been our first experience we would never go there again as it is it will be quite awhile if ever. The staff as well as the food means everthing to the success of a restaurant and this restaurant is definitely lacking on the first!

Comment on Star of New Food Network Show from Atlantic City

I am not doubting Chef Irvine's Culinary ability as a top chef. He's paid his dues I'm sure....<br />In the end it is still very hard work. I've heard him speak locally with the Southern New Jersey Epicurean Society and he makes a cutting figure and packed in allot of knowledge and common sense. His approach to this industry maybe on the right track. Maybe HE can instill the reality of this vocation to a new generation.

Comment on Five Guys Burgers Gets Five Stars

There was plenty of parking when we went on Sunday around 1 p.m. Like I said, great food, lots of it, a big place, but you might have to wait for a table.

Comment on Five Guys Burgers Gets Five Stars

It is in the WalMart plaza at Route 9 and Route 47 in Rio Grande, Cape May County. There is a WaWa on the corner, and the rest of the plaza is behind that. There is also a Lowes there, food market, Chinese restaurant, Boaters World, etc.

Comment on Five Guys Burgers Gets Five Stars

Great review but, like a few other reviews, where is this place?
